Godly Play family liturgies
Family Liturgies: Breathe in and Breathe Out offers families a ten minute liturgy to begin each day and a ten minute liturgy to finish each day. This project was commissioned by the brilliant Godly Play Foundation, who exists to “Make meaning through story, wonder, and play…and nurture spiritual lives by honoring the centrality, competency, and capacity of children.” Love it!
(1) Breathe In — A Morning Liturgy
The Morning liturgy helps kids (and their parents!) wake up, get grounded in God’s unconditional Love, and look forward to the day in curiosity. We name the Divine Spark in each of us and prepare to bring that spark into our school, neighborhood, and world.
(2) Breathe Out — An Evening Liturgy
The Evening liturgy helps kids (and their parents!) slow down, exhale, and look back over the day. In this safe space, we name the joyful and difficult moments, and gently release it all into God’s loving hands.
